[Cuts to Beau laying on grass from a high angle, non diegetic sounds continue in the background.] 
[Camera follows Beau as she sits up] 
[Beau’s dad walks from behind carrying boxes] 

Beaus Dad: Get ready to go this is the last box. 
[Cuts to Beau’s dad carrying the box to the car]  

[fades into a shot that says one week earlier] 
[Shows Kilwins sign and pans to Beau and Emma] 

Emma: it’s so cold out tonight, so have you talked to your dad about moving 
Beau: Yeah he says we still have to go, I’m really going to miss Olly 
Emma: How does he feel about it 
Beau: I haven’t talked to him about it yet 
Emma: that’s really hard 
Beau: Lets go walk I don’t want to think about it anymore 

[A wide shot is used to show both characters walking down the street, then the flashback ends] 
[A wide shot is filmed showing the side of the car and Beau getting in]  
[ Beau’s dad hand is showed of him turning up the song and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye starts playing] 
[flashes to Olly and Beau driving a jamming out to the song] 
[music fades] 
[Olly puts arm around Beau] 
Olly: Beau, I'm really going to miss you 
Beau: I'm going to miss you too Olly 
[flashed back to present day] 

Beau’s dad: Beau, say bye to the house 
[shows back wheel of car pulling away then pans to car driving away down the street]

Film Genre Research~ Sixteen Candles

Sixteen Candles, the 1984 coming of age film has many aspects I would use in my opening scene. In the first 2 minutes you see clips of kids arriving to a high school. You see the different social groups that are depicted by their wardrobe, actions, and the way they are viewed by other people. For example, the mis-en-scene is used when you are shown different outfits worn by the kids like the close ups of the students with their sunglasses. You can tell that fashion and wardrobe choices were important to show who is in what social class. Also, there is a specific over the shoulder shot of a student trying to unlock their locker. After multiple attempts and great frustration he finally gets it but you can assume that they might be a freshman or new to the school. For this movie, the budget was 6.5 million but they made 23.7 in box offices. Use of Conventions

Our film entitled Beau has a few certain ways that it tested conventions. While filming we tried to incorporate as many different camera shots in it to make it interesting as well as different sound effects. For example with the tracking shot go Beau's dad carrying the box it signifies that the girl is leaving her house and shows that they are loading their stuff into the truck. We also used a mid-shot when Olly and Beau are talking and watching the sunset. This shows what is happening as well as the moods on the two kids faces while they are saying they will miss each other. For the sound aspect we used birds sound effects in the beginning to represent a peaceful mood as well as the song Aint' No Mountain High Enough  by Marvin Gaye to represent Beau reminiscing on the good times she had with her friend. Marketing Plan

For the film Beau  my partner and I have come up with multiple ways to market our film. With our target audience being teen girls in middle or high school we came up with ways that will help get the word out about our movie. Many teens spend a good portion of their day on heir phone looking through Snapchat, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Because of this ads and certain aspects that companies use help younger viewers recognize that product that they produced. The first way in which my partner and I are marketing our film is teaming up with snap chat to create a filter to promote our movie. A lens is an interactive filter you can put on a picture and some of them have mask-like features while some are like little games. For example, the Netflix Original To All the Boys I've Loved Before used Snapchat as a platform to market their movie. They used a little spin the bottle game to draw Snapchat users to use their filter. When they saw the filter it advertised the movie...
