Feedback/Revisions

To fix our film we got many examples of feedback from our peers. We got positive notes such as good editing and transitions as well as camera shots. Some things we need to work on is making sure the loudness of the sound is the same in every shot. In some shots the sound it quiet and the wind will make it very loud. To fix this we might have to re shoot some parts to make sure this doesn't happen. Also the lighting in some of these scenes were very dark and you couldn't always see what is going on. To fix this we will also have to try to shoot those scenes again with either lighting up the area better or shooting it earlier in the day to ensure we can see everything clearly.

Use of Conventions

Our film entitled Beau has a few certain ways that it tested conventions. While filming we tried to incorporate as many different camera shots in it to make it interesting as well as different sound effects. For example with the tracking shot go Beau's dad carrying the box it signifies that the girl is leaving her house and shows that they are loading their stuff into the truck. We also used a mid-shot when Olly and Beau are talking and watching the sunset. This shows what is happening as well as the moods on the two kids faces while they are saying they will miss each other. For the sound aspect we used birds sound effects in the beginning to represent a peaceful mood as well as the song Aint' No Mountain High Enough  by Marvin Gaye to represent Beau reminiscing on the good times she had with her friend.
